Gender Equality and Best Value Inquiry I welcome Mick Conboy and Lucy Chapman from the Commission for Racial Equality, who have come to give evidence as part of the committee's inquiry into gender equality and best value.
I imagine that there is much that we could do on that. The best way of proceeding is for us to have one or two case studies or examples that we can use to suggest best practice to departments and to indicate where the system has and has not worked.

To ask the Scottish Executive what its latest calculations are of the annual cost to businesses of congestion on the Kingston Bridge and in the Clyde Tunnel.
Later changes would be significant if, for example, new types of body had to disclose information to the courts—if that were to be the case, the affirmative procedure might be best.
I imagine that that would be done with guidance about where trees could best be located to achieve best effect and to provide most aesthetic and amenity benefit.
