To ask the Scottish Executive what specific action it has taken to use the Tartan Day celebrations in New York to attract people, particularly expatriate Scots, to live and work in Scotland.
We have many problems in the Executive, but getting people to claim money is seldom one of them, particularly in the area to which Mr Ballard referred.
Mike Pringle has resigned from the committee, with effect from 24 October. We await the nomination of a new member in his place. I hope that we get somebody soon.
Most of us are elderly and a lot of us are not in the best of health, yet—I speak for Glasgow—we do not get a baked bean of support. We do not get a penny.
I understand completely the importance of the issue, getting the law right and ensuring that when the law is in place, it is properly enforced by the authorities and respected by dog owners and their families.
