Convener The committee must now choose a new convener. I remind members that it was agreed on 17 June 1999 that the convener of the Education, Culture and Sport Committee should come from the Labour party.
I reassure the committee that there has been no further slippage. The latest forecasts show that Scottish Water continues to be on course to deliver the investment of £505 million this year, which is the same level of investment that was forecast back in the summer.
However, to pick up on Christine Grahame's point, if new issues are raised, how would we know that some people do not object simply because those new issues have not yet arisen?
I know that that regularly gets done in Fife. When we need access to a new housing development, part of the negotiations is that the developer has to finance a new slip road.
A questionnaire has gone out to staff who will work in the civil service part of the new organisation to get some feel for the number of people who would be prepared to consider, or who would be interested in, transferring from Edinburgh to the new location in Glasgow, wherever it is.
Since the opening day, there has been much talk in the Parliament of a new politics. People have placed different interpretations on that, but there is a wide desire to achieve a new way of going about our business.
