We are keen to expedite the transfer of Edinburgh's waste back to rail. The good news for John Home Robertson's constituents and the wider environment is that I understand from City of Edinburgh Council officials that the transfer station at Powderhall is expected to reopen at the end of the month, when rail transport should recommence.
