Stage 1 Report on the Transport (Scotland) Bill - Enforcement and finance

Local authorities were therefore concerned that the provisions in the bill would impact on their resources and, as a consequence, their ability to enforce the new parking prohibitions. The Committee also heard that enforcement would be more challenging in rural local authorities which are spread over large geographical areas.
