We have taken action to address the needs of drug-misusing female offenders and fine defaulters who might otherwise end up in custody, and we have set up the innovative 218 time out centre. The member will be aware that new powers under the Antisocial Behaviour etc (Scotland) Act 2004 can be used to deal with people who cause alarm, distress or annoyance to members of the public through antisocial use of vehicles on or off public roads.
