To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will provide a breakdown of what the 2007-08 allocation of £10,443,000, shown under the "Miscellaneous other Health Services" category in table 5.05 of its Draft Budget 2006-07, will be used for.
I have asked Tony Cameron, Chief Executive of the Scottish Prison Service (SPS) to respond. His response is as follows: The transfer of prisoners from Scotland to Northern Ireland is undertaken by Reliance Custodial Services.
Thisincludes assigning budgets to secondary and primary health care.The Kerr Report reaffirmed therole of Community Health Partnerships as vehicles for integration of services ata local level. NHS boards will be asked to consider removing any budget barriersto developing integrated care solutions and to consider innovative ways of usingresources to enable the shift in the balance of care into community based services.
The Care Commission Corporate Plan, which is approved by ministers, includes a target to inspect all registered services according to the requirements of the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001.
