Aberdeenshire Council will measure the level of success of the project and the extent to which it has enabled older people to use ICT to improve access to services. The main aim of the project is to take technology out to older people in a rural setting and to work with older people to determine how technology might improve access to services.

Overheads include the cost of accommodation and related services; central services such as personnel, library, accounting and audit, recruitment, training and records management; and general non-pay costs such as travel and subsistence, photocopying and stationery.
We also have a whole range of other services for the elderly, including free personal care, none of which was in place when the Conservatives were in power.
It is multidimensional and involves not just the health service. As others throughout the world have recognised, including the World Health Organisation, Scotland is setting key best practice for the world to follow in relation to access to food, exercise and diet and through the recently announced counterweight initiative, which involves focusing the health service's efforts on key individuals who need support to change their diet and thereby to reduce obesity.
A welcome dose of reality on the situation in many African states will, in the long run, do the people of those countries far greater service than will wilful blindness to problems.
Page 5, which is the second page of the statement by the Minister for Finance and Public Service Reform, says that the European Union Bill"impacts on devolved issues in only a small number of technical areas".That comment is deeply flawed.
