Is the minister aware that, although on average 12 cruise ships a year visit the port in Dundee, there is no significant benefit to the local economy, because areas that already benefit significantly from tourism tend also to benefit from those visits?

The amendments in the group will modify the normal rules that govern bail set out in part III of the 1995 act to the situation where an accused is admitted to bail under proposed new section 65(8C).Amendment 165 will disapply section 24(6) of the 1995 act in relation to bail under proposed new section 65(8C).
