Welfare of Farmed Animals (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2002 (draft) The Executive has intimated that it is withdrawing the draft Welfare of Farmed Animals (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2002 and that a new, amended version of the regulations, which reflects the comments of the committee, has been laid.
The committee is asked to authorise in principle the approval of any witness expenses relating to the new economy inquiry. A number of witnesses will appear next week.
The study found that, among 70,000 dogs that were treated in one year, there were only 26 incidents of tail injuries. That represents a rate of 3.7 tail injuries per 10,000 dogs, which is very low.
