To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will take action to tackle any problems with the waiting list at Glasgow Dental Hospital pending the completion of the major strategic review of dental services. Health boards and their partner Trusts are required to manage the services they provide in a way which best meets the needs of those who use the services.It is for North Glasgow University NHS Trust, which has management responsibility for Glasgow Dental Hospital, to put in place measures to reduce waiting for dental services.
The information collected will include waiting times for wheelchairs and will be used as an evidence base for future service provision, thus providing a framework against which best practice delivery of rehabilitation technology services can be measured.
