I thank the First Minister for that answer and welcome the figures that he quoted.I am sure that the First Minister would agree that one of the ways in which the health service can be improved is by building new hospitals. He will be aware of the urgent need for a new acute services hospital on the south side of Glasgow—the only major population centre in Scotland that did not have a new-build hospital throughout the 20th century.
