The benefits can be seen in our streets and communities every day. We have new schools, new technology, new information technology, new access to computers for schoolchildren, new sports facilities for schools and new hospitals.
That situation only adds to the need for further education and training to ensure that people have opportunities to develop new skills and knowledge so that they can move on, either to new employment or to new higher education opportunities.
