For example, the Northern Ireland Assembly's Committee of the Centre has just completed its report; indeed, the committee visited Scotland and conducted a public session, taking evidence from me and the clerks.
It might be useful if we could publish our report a couple of weeks before the minister's visit on 31 October. I understand that Professor Shucksmith is available to come along on 3 October, so we should be able to finalise the report by the time you suggest.
The Executive has decided to withdraw its current draft and lay a new draft order in the new year. I suggest that we bring the Executive's response to the attention of the Parliament and the lead committee.
Interests Before we move on to the next agenda item, I should point out that I did not ask the new—or, should I say, recidivist—member of the committee, Phil Gallie, whether he would like to make a declaration of interests.
The principle needs to be cleared up with the Minister for Finance and Public Services when he comes before the committee in October. As I understand it, the latest position is that the £500 million will be in cash savings.
