I am happy to go along with the general drift of the committee on that, on the basis that we will have to return to all the issues that the objectors raise in our further deliberations. The points that the objectors raise will all be considered in due course.

To my way of thinking, a discussion on the details of drafting does not involve the principle but is about the mechanistic way of presenting that principle in a way that takes account of all the different points that are raised by the committee.
I think that we are getting near the dividing point in Scottish politics. We all agree on the problems; the problem is that the First Minister does not have any solutions that will deliver against the problems.
