(S2O-12096) The Scottish Prison Service is spending in the region of £1.5 million per week on modernising the prison estate. That investment has created 2,000 new fit-for-purpose places in four prisons across Scotland.
The substitution is being made to take account of the experiences of verifiers of the new system, in the light of which amendments were considered necessary to provide clarity for verifiers and applicants and to ensure consistent enforcement and administration of the new system.
