Section 15—Victim's right to receive information concerning release etc of offender Amendment 24 is grouped with amendments 44, 25, 26 to 29, 91, 30, 31 and 92. I am glad to speak briefly to amendment 24.
I have followed closely the way in which the agency has developed and I think that, increasingly, it has forged new, better and stronger links with the industry.
It is easier to get a grip on how we buy things in Scotland, because of our scale, but my concern is not about how we buy things, but about how we measure what we are doing.
The Executive has initiated this debate to give the Parliament an early opportunity to discuss our continued commitment to the fire service in Scotland following the publication of our latest consultation paper on proposed new legislation.
I hope that some of it will be dealt with by the new building standards. It is very difficult to see how new buildings are not accessible because they are required to be, and they will be even more accessible under the guidance that will be introduced in 2007.
