Official Report Meeting date: 29 November 2005

Enterprise and Culture Committee, 29 Nov 2005

I am told by the clerk that, strictly speaking, the official cannot speak at this point in the proceedings. However, I will overrule the rules on this occasion.
Official Report Meeting date: 24 November 2005

Plenary, 24 Nov 2005

That concludes questions to the First Minister. On a point of order, Presiding Officer. I seek your guidance.
Official Report Meeting date: 16 November 2005

Plenary, 16 Nov 2005

A motion without notice should be put to the occupant of the chair at that point. We would indicate at that stage whether such a proposal was necessary and what time period might be appropriate.

Edinburgh Tram (Line Two) Bill Committee, 14 Sep 2005

As members will recollect, the promoter indicated that there is potential to change the alignment of the tram route at two points—in the Haymarket Yards area and in the area of the Gyle—which would take the track outwith the limits of deviation.

Official Report Meeting date: 4 May 2005

Plenary, 04 May 2005

I think that Phil Gallie is talking about the future of structural funds as opposed to the future of regional aid assistance. I point out that the Enterprise and Culture Committee recently carried out a fact-finding visit to Brussels as part of its investigation into state aid reform.
Official Report Meeting date: 2 December 2004

Plenary, 02 Dec 2004

First, the Parole Board certainly should take availability into account, and the improvements in public accountability that the Minister for Justice wants to see would reassure us all that that happens, because we would be able to see proof that decisions are based on the fullest range of information and advice from the different services.Secondly, Stewart Stevenson's point raises the important advances that we require to make in offender management in Scotland.
Official Report Meeting date: 2 December 2004

Plenary, 02 Dec 2004

The current budget is £8.1 billion, rising to £10.3 billion in 2007-08. On the point about Grampian, I point out that the Executive has levelled up resources; we have not taken money away from any health board.
Official Report Meeting date: 15 September 2004

Public Petitions Committee, 15 Sep 2004

We should go back to the minister, seek clarification of the responses, point out that the petitioner regards them as contradictory and ask her to address the criticisms.
