To ask the Scottish Executive what improvements in journey times between Edinburgh and Glasgow it has secured under the new ScotRail franchise. The new franchise agreement is based on the current level of service.
I do not think that the Executive's 26 planning officers are enough to deal with the sort of complaints that will arise as people understand that the planning system has changed.
Like my colleagues David Mundell and Elaine Murray, I have regularly visited the crisis centre in Dumfries, where there is a stark and revealing map on a wall.

Fifteen thousand is a working estimate of the number of new homes per annum which over the period 2006-14 will require entirely new strategic water and sewerage infrastructure, taking account of growth trends.
