Indeed, it is leading the way on that, and I know from my visit that local authorities from throughout the United Kingdom have been visiting the model with the aim of establishing it in their areas.
The petitioners urge the committee to recommend that no such visits are made, that a child rights and wellbeing impact assessment is applied to armed forces visits and that good-quality data on armed forces visits to schools is requested.
They suggested that the cross-border situation is unprecedented and, furthermore that it could impact the prison estate in England and Wales because Ministry of Justice policy means that a person with a GRC is treated in terms of their “acquired gender” except in very exceptional circumstances as based on case law.

When the Scottish Parliament was established in 1999, UK Ministers’ powers to make secondary legislation in devolved areas were transferred to Scottish Ministers with only a few exceptions.
A key exception was the power to make secondary legislation that implemented EU obligations.
The single crewing of ambulances should happen only in exceptional circumstances, and we will continue to monitor the situation closely with the Scottish Ambulance Service.
