However, I am very concerned about the real issue: getting confidence back in the SQA. The only way we will do that is by getting the examination scripts back to the schools.
It may well be that some of those issues will be addressed at the meeting; we might not be able to get all the answers before then, although I am sure that the clerks will do their level best to get the information.
It would not have to be a long meeting, but members—particularly those who are new to the committee and who might have some new thoughts—need to get a feel for how we work as a committee and for our relationship with the minister in relation to his Treasury function.

The total amount of RSA accepted was £29.2 million for projects linked to the planned creation of 1,183 new jobs and the safeguarding of a further 2,295.
The second issue that the Transport and the Environment Committee is considering is concessionary transport. It expects to get to differential petrol prices early in the new year.
A lot of the foreign direct investment that we get involves little on-going research and development, but that is often the engine by which companies learn about new market spaces and product requirements.
