You seem to suggest that, in allowing new crofts to be created, the Executive is helping to address the crisis in affordable housing and not that it is doing so to promote the future of crofting.
Would criticisms and the risk of challenge be magnified because the Executive, while not being the promoter, would in effect be seen to be promoting the bills and because the measures, we are told, would be temporary?
I am grateful to the Scottish warm homes campaign for appearing today. We considered its petition on 26 April last year when, to a large extent, we were quite a different committee.
It is also important that all children are served by any new legislation, not just those whose parents are able to promote actively their child's rights or to make use of a service such as Enquire.
