NHS (Provision of Wheelchairs and Specialist Seating Services) (PE798) Petition PE798, by Margaret Scott, calls on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Executive to resolve the current critical problems in the provision of wheelchairs and specialist seating services within the national health service by both an immediate increase in funding and through a review that, in consultation with users, will address minimum standards, the scope of equipment provided and the delivery of services. At its meeting on 19 January 2005, the committee agreed to write to the Minister for Health and Community Care, the Minister for Communities and the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland; we also agreed to pass copies of the petition to the Equal Opportunities Committee and the Health Committee for information only.
