The non-Scottish fisheries south of 56o north are not subject to the same degree of restriction as Scottish fisheries. However, on the basis of the latest scientific evidence, it is difficult for me to see why cod would not be caught as a bycatch, using a 70mm mesh, at latitudes south of 56o north.
