NHS Quality Improvement Scotland’s (NHS QIS) health care governance and schizophrenia standards include a requirement for NHS boards to make advocacy services available to those that need them. NHS QIS carry out assessment visits to ensure local compliance with these standards.

To ask the Scottish Executive how many visits have been made by the Minister for Health and Community Care to each parliamentary constituency in (a) 1999, (b) 2000, (c) 2001, (d) 2002 and (e) 2003.
Officials from the Justice Department are in regular contact with Central Scotland Police about a range of policing issues. My most recent visit to the area was for the Safer Central Anniversary on 19 April 2002 during which I met the Convener of the Central Scotland Joint Police Board and the Chief Constable, amongst others.
