We have cut business rates and invested in colleges and universities; we have built and are building new railways; we have bought new trains, opened new stations and supported dozens of new international air routes.
I want to expand on some points that you raised. The new NHS plan for England that came out in July sets up new care trusts to deliver health and social services.
I hope that some of it will be dealt with by the new building standards. It is very difficult to see how new buildings are not accessible because they are required to be, and they will be even more accessible under the guidance that will be introduced in 2007.
The police will be able to use that new provision in supporting communities affected by prostitution, and I hope that it will act as a deterrent to men in the first place.
Also affected are tourism businesses, from the big hotels such as the Peebles Hydro Hotel to the small cafe at St Mary's loch, as well as new businesses located on the southern upland way, which have been set up to cater for walkers.
