The committee would be amazed by the difference that visits from members make locally. Such visits mean that Scotland is once again in the news and gets talked about.
We generally meet our statutory obligations. The new routes by which people can get qualified, which we spoke about earlier, will result in more qualified workers becoming available in a couple of years.
Since then, we have been considering the Standards in Scotland's Schools etc Bill, but I would expect to get some comments back, which I will be happy to share with the committee when we get a response.
Our next meeting is in the Signet Library, which is adjacent to the Parliament building. We will get a map with our papers to ensure we do not get lost.
