British Waterways is projecting that next year about 7.5 million people will visit the canals, which can be regarded only as a success.British Waterways is keen for the Scottish Executive, Scottish Enterprise and VisitScotland to work with it to promote awareness of the benefits that canals can offer not only to the people who use them, but to the many people who visit them and to communities bordering canals.
