The latest statistics show that more than 1.6 million national health service examination appointments were completed between April and October 2022, which includes 440,000 child examinations from February 2022.
Costs on other bodies, individuals and businesses 26. The Scottish Government does not anticipate that any substantial costs will fall on other bodies, individuals or businesses as a result of the provisions of the Bill.
Scottish Government modelling further estimates that the Payment will keep 40,000 children out of relative poverty in 2025/26. That means that the relative child poverty rate in Scotland will be around 4 percentage points 6 lower than it would otherwise be.
