When phase 2 of the tracking system is implemented, we expect fewer questions to be outstanding for long periods. Our latest information shows that, as at the close of business yesterday, there were 197 PQs for which answers were still outstanding.
Some prisons have developed better link services than others. Like other members, I have visited a number of prisons and my impression was that many of the courses were popular while some were unpopular.
Stranraer, Wick and Thurso are just as entitled to have the committee meet there if there is a requirement to go and visit. There is not just an implication for costs—there is the issue of practicalities.

To ask the Scottish Executive how much was spent by the Scottish Tourist Board and visitscotland in promoting cruise ship visits to Scotland, in each year since 1995.
We had set a target for 2006, but it has been superseded, as I announced last week, by a new target for 2008. Of course, we shall still expect local authorities to meet their 2006 targets on the way to meeting the new target for 2008.
