Assisted Dying for Terminally Ill Adults (Scotland) Bill Scottish Government position
The Bill’s Policy Memorandum, at paragraph 7 onwards, acknowledges that, in order to have a truly comprehensive assisted dying scheme “something else would likely need to happen”, and makes reference to the possibility of using various Orders under the Scotland Act 1998, such as a section 30 Order.
