Procedures for misconduct: former constables At present, where there is an allegation of misconduct and the police officer resigns or retires during the investigation or proceedings, those proceedings come to a halt The provisions in section 6 of the Bill allow disciplinary procedures to apply to persons who have retired or resigned, in certain circumstances, where the allegation is about behaviour while the person was a constable, which would amount to gross misconduct.

Other new and altered motions and amendments *S5M-18538 Gil Paterson: Y Sort It Day Out for Clydebank Youngsters That the Parliament — commends Y Sort It in Clydebank for organising a trip to Auchengillan Scouts Outdoor Centre for local youngsters; notes that the charity transported two coach loads of children to Auchengillan where they took part in various activities including axe throwing, samba drumming, rock climbing, photography, zorbing, dancing and singing; understands that the participants were also treated to a visit from birds of prey and ended their day with a disco and fish and chips for dinner, and; acknowledges the time and effort given by Y Sort It volunteers to organise the event, which was enjoyed by all who attended.
