The sludge centres operate on a hub and spoke model, with them being moved by road from water treatment sites. In the near future, anaerobic digestion will start replacing incineration, and there are opportunities for community ownership and management of water treatment sites...
Probably not, but we do not have the opportunity to enlarge the site because of its geography. We would not prefer large sites anyway; we would prefer a larger number of smaller sites to a large site.
