To ask the Scottish Executive what procedures are in place to ensure that both male and female prison officers are available to search prisoners at visiting times. I have asked Tony Cameron, Chief Executive of the Scottish Prison Service to respond.
As I made clear in my response to S1W-33632, it is for individual ministerialprivate offices to ensure that constituency MSPs, Regional MSPs and MPs are notifiedwhen official visits take place. S2W-07519

His response is as follows:SPS has no record of any prison visiting committee having made representations since 1997 on the treatment of sex offenders in prisons.
The post office in Dalmally in Argyll, which is near where I live, has joined the new pharmacy in a new building, which has brought enormous benefit to the community.
