There are related issues that we may want to consider, such as employment and how we develop a new post office network that will take on new technology.
We want transparency and fairness in the amounts that will be taken from local government and health boards to pay for the new arrangements, and in the level of fees that the new bodies will charge.
Has the Law Society engaged before in the process of proposing levels at which it thinks fees should be set? Is this a new thing? It is new for us, but I doubt whether it is new for the Law Society, although perhaps it is.
It is important to acknowledge the critical significance for any new organisation of being able to establish itself, to settle in and to put in place structures that will last.
