Other new and altered motions and amendments *S5M-09751 Emma Harper: Dalbeattie Men's Shed Named Best in the UK That the — Parliament commends Dalbeattie Men's Shed on being named the best in the UK; recognises that there are 400 men's sheds throughout the UK, offering a place where men can meet to work together on projects while enjoying the company of others; further recognises that Dalbeattie Men's Shed was founded in 2014 and has over 50 members, and meets every Tuesday and Thursday to take part in various crafts, including woodwork, metalwork and 3D printing, and has also worked as part of the community to renovate a 10ft-tall cat sculpture for Civic Week and built Santa s sleigh for the Lions Club; commends Dalbeattie Men's Shed on the work that it does to ’ serve the community, as well as providing an accessible space that helps to encourage members to work together and prevent social isolation, while teaching new skills and providing opportunities, and wishes Dalbeattie Men's Shed well for the future.
