To ask the Scottish Executive (a) how many health visitors are currently employed in Scotland and (b) how many of these are currently absent from work (i) through stress-related illnesses and (ii) for other reasons, broken down by NHS Trust There are currently 1,698 health visiting staff employed in the NHS in Scotland.
