I have two brief points. I welcome the news that Polmont will receive funding for its new hall, which, given the state of two of the present halls, has been needed for a long time.
The advantage of involving the private sector is that it provides new sources of ideas. Recently, I visited some prisons, including private finance prisons and publicly run prisons, and talked to prisoners, prison staff and managers.
To ask the Scottish Executive when the Minister for Transport will next visit the Stirling district. I hope to visit the Stirling district, in my capacity as Minister for Transport, soon.

To ask the Scottish Executive what progress has been made through the National Waste Plan towards achieving recycling and composting rates of 30% by 2008 and 55% by 2020. The latest figuresfrom the Scottish Environment Protection Agency show that we recycled/composted24.4% of municipal waste in 2005-06.
