Motion agreed to, That the Parliament believes that the interests of Scotland and the United Kingdom would be best served by holding a general election for a new House of Commons as soon as possible.
It is difficult to predict the time that that will take, but we need to get it right. We will consult DEFRA officials and anybody else whom we need to consult in order to get this right.
Are you concerned that, if Strathdon becomes part of the national park, people will find it even more difficult to get planning permission for new housing developments?
I suggest that we take forward the petition and ask for evidence on both sides. I hope that we will be able to get evidence from countries such as New Zealand, where such zones have already been created.
