To ask the Scottish Executive on how many occasions since 1999 departmental special advisers have travelled (a) in the United Kingdom and (b) abroad in an official capacity; what places were visited, and how much each visit cost.
I acknowledge the merit in what Phil Gallie says. One consideration in arranging visits was that they should not appear to be excessive, but a visit might not be needed.
His winter campaign has melted away already because he has not spelled out how he would use any new powers. He has failed to answer any of the questions posed.

To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will list the specific sources of revenue and income available to each of its core and associated departments in the latest year for which figures are available.
Item 5 is consideration of a briefing paper from Arthur Midwinter on the 2002 spending review and the Executive's "Building a Better Scotland: Spending Proposals 2003-06: What the money buys" document, which was launched last week.
I agree with the recommendation that we accept manuscript amendments up to the latest possible stage. The only experience that we have had of the Presiding Officer having to improvise on such an issue was during a stage 3 debate, when the Parliament was allowed to do something that it would not otherwise have been able to do.
