We aim to encouragethe diaspora’s active participation and engagement in promoting Scotland as a greatcountry to visit, live, learn, work, do business and invest.During the First Minister’s visitto Melbourne, Australia in March 2006, he hosted one diaspora event and launchedthe quarterly diaspora E magazine, Scotland-Now.The First Minister’s visit markedthe beginning of a long-term engagement with the Australian Diaspora to showcasewhat 21st century Scotland has to offer and to encourage some of these bright, talentedpeople to come here to live and work.
Such offers can then be offered elsewhere. Some new projects may be able to come on stream, but, in the main, capacity is now full, and no entirely new offers will be made by Scottish and Southern Energy.
To ask the Scottish Executive why the River Annan is excluded from the restrictions on fishing without legal right in the Solway in section 26(1) of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries (Consolidation) Act 2003.
Some prisons have developed better link services than others. Like other members, I have visited a number of prisons and my impression was that many of the courses were popular while some were unpopular.
