I agree very much with Andrew Welsh's point, which was well made. The point has also been made by ministerial colleagues in the Scottish Executive Enterprise, Transport and Lifelong Learning Department.
However, I absolutely agree with the central point that she made: the potential benefits can be considerable, in terms of advantages to commuters and local people and attracting people in general back to using our rail system.
If I can assist people to make those choices more accurately, I will do so. I will consider the points that the member makes in relation to financial information.
I am sure that the ministers who are most directly involved with the issue will be keen to take up the points that the report makes in advance of our announcements in response to Professor Irving's report on the management of sex offenders and related issues.
We must tackle that because we have to get international students here in the first place. I agree with Sarah Boyack's points and assure her that there have been discussions with the Home Office about visa matters.
Ministers and officials ought to note that point. The committee has long been promised the details and it is difficult to expect us to understand what is clearly a complex issue in such a short space of time.
