Is the minister prepared at least to delay the permission for the latest crop trial in Fife, which I understand is imminent, until the local community has had the opportunity to present its case in full?
(S1F-1681) The annual reports of the interception of communications commissioners and of the chief surveillance commissioner contain information on the use of interception of communications and covert surveillance in Scotland. When I announced the investment of an additional £8.9 million for police recruitment in May 2000, the number of police officers stood at 14,699. The latest available figures show an increase over that period of 413 to 15,112.
