We have undertaken to update guidance to draw attention to the range of legal obligations that are most relevant to the sector and to issue new guidance to all existing schools and to new schools that seek registration.
It seems to me that that combination of legislative commitment and financial investment is the surest sign yet that we have a new politics in Scotland. That new politics is working.
However, to go back to an earlier point, what interests me is how their way of doing things relates to the new Parliament and, in particular, to the committee.
I understand that some councils are not members of COSLA. I do not know what the latest membership figure is. An agreement with local government should surely include all local government in Scotland and not only local authorities that are COSLA members.
The legislation is in place and the partnerships have got off the ground and are taking stock. New documents have been coming from them and new plans have been evolving.
