First, section 26(6) of the 1997 act will include within the meaning of "development" fish farms in coastal and transitional waters, as defined in the bill.
We should also emphasise that pupils should be consulted when new schools are built. Some schools will not have the space or the capacity to provide lockers, but we should ask the minister to consider the matter and recommend that there is consultation when new schools are built.
However, the industry is fed up with bending over backwards and getting no credit for it at all. All the new measures that have been introduced—the decommissioning scheme and new mesh sizes—have been ignored.
