• The cost implications for the NHS including increase in demand for transition operations and mental health support. • The preference to support those with gender dysphoria via mental health support as opposed to gender reassignment or transition. • Disagreement around the “de-medicalisation” of the GRC process as “such life changing decisions should have medical input.” • An increase in those wishing to de-transition in the future after “rushing” the GRC process and the issue of “criminalising” those who wish to de-transition as they could be seen as making a “false declaration.” • False declaration offense would be “impossible to police.” • The Bill is “badly drafted” and “poorly thought out” and “riddled with the dangers of unintended consequences.”

Further to the answer to question S5W-18706 answered on 26 September 2018, the 2016 UK Special Protection Area (SPA) Review recommended that ‘consideration of the need for and provision of, additional conservation measures (outwith this SPA review) is required; that contemporary SPA provision is insufficient for the requirements of the species and appropriate changes or additions to the SPA suite should be considered; that a review of boundaries of the existing SPA is needed to ensure that important areas used for feeding etc. are included; that better ecological information on foraging habitat requirements of breeding curlew on agricultural grasslands near breeding sites is needed; and that better survey methods should be developed.’

(Scotland) Bill Schedule 2—Consequential, transitional and saving provision Part 2—Transitional and saving provision 10 (1) Part 3 of this Act, other than section 31, applies to a lease entered into before commencement day and which subsists on that day, subject to the following provision. (2) Nothing in section 26 affects the period of, or date of entry under, a lease where that period or date has been determined by a court or tribunal in accordance with the 5 pre-commencement law. (3) Section 26 does not apply in relation to proceedings before a court or tribunal raised before commencement day. (4) Accordingly, the pre-commencement law applies for the purpose of the determination by a court or tribunal of any question as to the period of, or date of entry under, a lease 10 which is the subject of or arises in, or in relation to, such proceedings. 1 (5) The modifications of the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Scotland) Act 1985 made by section 30 are of no effect in relation to— (a) a notice served under section 4(2) of that Act before that day, or (b) any other irritancy-related notice within the meaning of section 5A(9) of that Act 15 (as inserted by section 30(3)) served before that day. 11 In this Part of this schedule— “commencement day” means the day on which this schedule comes into force, “pre-commencement law” means the law applying before that day, “tribunal” has the meaning given by section 26(7).
