There have never been any plans for the Scottish Investment Bank to deliver grants but we are working to have a new loan fund open for business by the end of this year.
To ask the Scottish Executive whether it considers that the funding from the Scottish Futures Trust for 14 new high schools is secure. The Scottish Government will be providing funding for all the school projects in Scotland''s Schools for the Future directly to the local authorities concerned.
The old 62-day target performance has now been met for five consecutive quarters and two new tougher 31 and 62-day targets have been introduced to be delivered by December 2011.
Regulations concerning inspections as required by section 58 of the Public Services Reform (Scotland) Act 2010 will be laid in time for the effective operation of the new scrutiny bodies'' regulatory regime from April 2011.
We are also continuing to encourage schools to engage directly with parents using the materials available in the Curriculum for Excellence Parental Toolkit, an online resource which enables teachers to talk to parents and carers with confidence about the new curriculum. S3W-33100
