The complete withdrawal of this support comes at a time when the employer contribution to the STSS has risen by 3% to 26%. As modern universities have no choice over either the contribution rate or the requirement to enrol academic staff onto STSS, the SFC cut represents a significant and direct additional hit on our resources at a difficult time.
