There is a desire to get such patients out and, although the staff all work hard, with the best will in the world, they have no facility for looking after or managing people who, by that stage, are agitated rather than critically ill.
I would like the committee to be in the mainstream of developments, both national and international. The purpose of the visits that we made was to share ideas and methods and to seek out best practice, to see how that could benefit Scotland.

(c) Along with this major investment in high quality rolling stock, additional measures such as new and enhanced, secure storage facilities will be installed at some stations on the North Berwick line to enable passengers more choice to leave cycles at stations.
The above investment includes the creation of new shared walking and cycling facilities, new secure cycle parking, various incentives to cycle or walk to school, including, for example, cycle training skill kits.

We are working closely with sector skills councils, in particular ConstructionSkills, to promote this new scheme to employers and the Scottish Chambers of Commerce and the Alliance of Sector Skills Councils will shortly be circulating details of the Adopt an Apprentice scheme to their employers.
