To ask the Scottish Executive how many new cases of HIV/AIDS as a result of blood transfusions have been reported in each of the last three years. During the period 1 January 2002 to 31 March 2005, there were five new reports of individuals who were infected with HIV and whose only risk factor was the receipt of a blood transfusion.
